Sura Asset Management II secures medium-term financing

Peruvian real estate investment trust Sura Asset Management II (SURA) has secured a medium-term loan with which it will refinance it debts with third parties.

SURA is a real estate investment fund registered with the securities market by regulator SMV, and which was structured and is managed by Fondos Sura.

The loan was structured by Banco BTG Pactual (Cayman branch).

The loan will be backed by a package of guarantees, including a mortgage granted by SURA on a property it owns.

Law firm CMS Grau acted as counsel to SURA, with a team led by partner Miguel Viale, with Cinthia Cánepa and Gabriel Nájar.

BTG’s in-house counsel was Laura Teodoro, Karim Abuid and Rosario Siu.

DLA Piper Peru acted as counsel to BTG, with a team led by partner Sergio Barboza, with Juan Carlos Ramírez, Ricardo Mercado, Alexandra del Río and Ariana Villegas.
