Studio Legale Padovan is accelerating its trade compliance offering and consolidating its position in the legal market through an integrated partnership with Enrico Perticone Consulting Srl, a nationally recognised firm specialising in customs advisory and international trade.
The integration between Studio Perticone and Studio Legale Padovan combines legal and customs/commodity expertise into a single structured model, moving beyond the traditional separation between legal and technical advisory. The partnership brings into Studio Padovan a consolidated body of experience and specialisation, with the aim of strengthening its presence in an area of growing importance for businesses.
Through this operation, Studio Padovan broadens its advisory offering to cover all major areas of International Trade Compliance and international trade, from regulatory, procedural, contractual and financial profiles to operational and strategic aspects, supporting companies throughout the full cycle of their international activities.
Enrico Perticone, lecturer in Customs Commodity Science at the Università degli Studi "G. D'Annunzio" in Pescara and former President of the Consiglio Nazionale degli Spedizionieri Doganali (CNSD), is one of Italy's leading experts in customs law. He combines professional practice, academic activity and participation in major national and international institutional bodies, including contributing to the revision of the Incoterms® 2020.
Alongside the integration, Studio Legale Padovan is further strengthening its team with two new hires.
Marianna Geraci joins Studio Legale Padovan as head of corporate compliance & investigations. She is also a member of the Women's White Collar Defense Association - Italy Chapter.
Vittorio Santabarbara also joins the firm, focusing on customs law with a particular emphasis on excise duties and emerging sustainability-related areas, including CBAM and EUDR. Enrolled at the Rome Bar and registered as a statutory auditor with the MEF, he has extensive experience in customs law, excise duties, export controls and international economic sanctions. He holds a Master's degree in Tax Law, Accounting and Tax Planning from Luiss Business School.
This transaction represents a strategic step in the development of Studio Legale Padovan and significantly strengthens our ability to operate in an area that is increasingly central for businesses. Our goal is to build an advanced support model in customs and international trade matters, integrating legal and technical-operational expertise, with a structured, continuous approach oriented towards the comprehensive management of risks and opportunities. Our path will continue with further alliances and consolidations to offer businesses that single, highly specialised point of contact that is now indispensable to succeed in the challenges of international trade. (Avv. Marco Padovan)
Global trade is evolving along lines that escape established forecasting models, and the enormous complexity of the regulatory framework is a natural implication of this. Companies operate in structurally risky environments that require the adoption of increasingly complex compliance models. This important transaction enables an extraordinary integration of expertise and represents the strategic key to a truly innovative advisory offering of the highest added value. (Prof. Enrico Perticone)
