Andrew will succeed Jonathan Jones, effective May 1, 2026.
“Andrew is a widely recognized lawyer whose deep understanding of our business and our clients will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow the firm and serve our clients globally,” said Mark Ruehlmann, Squire Patton Boggs’ chairman and global managing partner.
“As a member of our global leadership team, he will play a key role in sustaining our momentum of success, while ensuring we maintain the close cross-border collaboration that is the strength and reputation of our firm,” he added.
“I would also like to express my deep gratitude to Jonathan for the energy and commitment he has demonstrated as managing partner for Europe. Throughout his tenure, he has helped sustain continuous year-over-year growth and played a central role in developing our key practice areas as well as improving the firm’s overall performance. His leadership has undeniably strengthened our organization.”
Andrew Wilkinson, a partner in the London office since 2003 and European head of the intellectual property and technology practice, advises UK and international companies on commercial matters and has particular expertise in technology contracts. He assists clients across a range of sectors, including technology, AI, telecommunications, fintech, healthcare, advertising, sports, as well as hospitality and entertainment.
“It is a true honor for me to take on this role at such a dynamic time for our firm’s growth,” Andrew Wilkinson said. “France plays a strategic role in our global offering, serving as a key hub for both our European platform and our cross-border activities in support of our clients.”
“Our Paris office combines a deep understanding of the local market with the strength of our international network, enabling us to provide effective, high-value-added support across all markets where our clients operate. I look forward to continuing to develop our presence in France by building on our already solid foundation,” he added.
The firm said it has experienced significant growth in its core practice areas in the UK and Europe.
“This momentum has been reflected in the expansion of several teams and the arrival of new partners from other firms, particularly in the areas of corporate and private equity, financial services, and litigation. This accelerated growth has also enabled us to expand our expertise in Europe, particularly in environmental regulation and criminal business law. At the same time, the firm has continued to expand its international presence with the opening of new offices in Amsterdam, Astana, Baku, Dublin, and Geneva,” the firm added.
