Smy Hotels Expands in Italy with €15m Acquisition of Pisa’s Tower Plaza

Smy Hotels has concluded the acquisition of the Tower Plaza in Pisa, a five-star hotel and one of the most prestigious properties in Tuscany. The transaction, valued at over €15 million, marks a new step in the Spanish group’s growth strategy in Italy.

The Tower Plaza — featuring 128 rooms, a conference center, a restaurant, a spa and a privileged view of the Leaning Tower — will become part of Smy Hotels’ international portfolio, present in six countries and specialized in both city and leisure hospitality. The property will undergo renovation and modernization works in the coming months, with reopening scheduled for the spring and a repositioning aligned with the group’s international standards.
