Pavia e Ansaldo Welcomes New Partner Professor Paolo Benazzo and His Team

Pavia e Ansaldo, the international law firm, has announced the arrival of Professor Paolo Benazzo as a new Partner. Paolo Benazzo joins the firm with a team of three professionals and will be based in the Milan office, strengthening the firm’s Corporate and Commercial Law, Restructuring, and Corporate M&A practices.

Paolo Benazzo brings significant expertise in M&A, LBOs, IPOs, financing agreements, debt restructuring, corporate crisis management, and the establishment of innovative start-ups. In the litigation field, he has extensive experience in corporate and banking disputes, as well as cases involving the liability of board members, senior executives, and auditing firms. He is also well-versed in arbitration proceedings, both ad hoc and institutional.

In addition to his legal practice, he is a Full Professor of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Pavia. He has previously taught at ESCP European Business School, CCI Paris Île-de-France and is a Visiting Fellow and Life Member at Clare Hall College, University of Cambridge (UK). He also serves on the boards of directors of several major industrial and financial companies, often as Chairman, and acts as a judicial commissioner in insolvency proceedings.

Benazzo is joined by a team of three professionals: Lucrezia Puliatti, Senior Associate, specializes in corporate and commercial law, with a focus on litigation and arbitration; Michele Chiocca, Senior Associate, has extensive experience in banking law, corporate law, and insolvency, particularly in complex restructuring operations for innovative start-ups; and Laura Zanardo, Associate, focuses on non-contentious corporate law, with particular expertise in M&A, extraordinary transactions, and international commercial contracts.
