Moreno Baldivieso Promotes Six to Partner
The moves mark a major expansion for the Bolivian firm, which has been managed by its founding family up until now.

Moreno Baldivieso has promoted Miguel Angel Jemio, Delfor Zapata, Daniel Arredondo and René Claure to partner in its office in La Paz and Jose Paul Aramayo and René Cuellar in Santa Cruz.
Delfor Zapata: He graduated from Universidad Mayor de San Andres, in 1992, and specialized in tax law in 1996 at Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar. He also specialized in corporate law at the same institution in 1997.
Daniel Arredondo: He obtained a bachelor’s degree in law at the Bolivian Catholic University in 2003 and specialized in legal practices and sectorial regulations at the same institution in the same year. In 2005, obtained a master’s in corporate law. In 2013, he received a diploma in international commercial litigation from American University, Washington College of Law.
René Claure: A graduate of Universidad Mayor de San Andres, he earned his bachelor’s degree in 2006. He remained at the same institution in 2007, when he received a certificate on higher education and investigation. He obtained a master’s in 2011 at Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar, specializing in financial market law.
Jose Paul Aramayo: He graduated law at Universidad Mayor de San Andres. He obtained a master’s degree in management law at Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar, specializing in management law.
René Cuellar: He obtained a certificate of academic excellence in 2006 when graduating law at Universidad Mayor de San Andres, due to his performance. At Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar, in 2009, he obtained a master’s in constitutional law. In 2013, he obtained another, this time in corporate law, at Universidad Privada de Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
Miguel Angel Jemio: He graduated law in 1994 at Universidad Mayor de San Andres.
According to a press release issued by the firm, it decided to “implement a reorganization process intended to strengthen the firm and enable it to endure in time, as well as to promote professionals who set the internal standard and who reflect the future envisaged for the firm, within a merit-bases structure.”
