Mexico’s Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes adds partner

Mexican law firm Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes has promoted Juan Pablo Betancourt Eichelmann to partner in its corporate finance and banking and M&A practice areas, effective from January 1, 2026.

With this promotion, Mijares reinforces its leadership and strengthens its commitment to delivering strategic solutions to its clients, consolidating a team that now includes 26 partners, seven counsel and more than 145 highly qualified professionals.

Juan Pablo has extensive experience in corporate finance, banking, M&A, and general corporate law. He has represented local and foreign clients in domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including structured finance and restructuring proceedings.

Additionally, Juan Pablo has broad experience in representing clients in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. He represents financial and fintech institutions in matters related to financial regulation, including the authorization, incorporation, and startups of various institutions within the financial sector.
