A new legal technology platform, Probitor, has been introduced in the Italian market to quantify corporate legal, tax, and reputational risks. Developed by a team of data analysts and engineers under the scientific direction of Alessandro Parrotta, founder of AP Avvocati, the system is designed to convert qualitative legal assessments into standardized metrics for corporate governance and banking compliance.

The software operates by aggregating public data, judicial records, corporate registries, and digital signals. Utilizing an algorithm based on Italian corporate criminal law and Legislative Decree 231/2001, the system generates a numerical index ranging from 0 to 100. This metric is intended to break down a corporate entity's exposure into specific risk categories, providing a measurable evaluation method for legal and compliance teams.

Within the financial sector, the platform is structured to integrate into credit approval processes, portfolio monitoring, and anti-money laundering procedures. By providing a traceable score, the tool aims to establish a common analytical baseline for risk and compliance departments. For corporate entities, the system provides an additional data layer for M&A due diligence, ESG assessments, and the internal management of compliance models.

The development of the platform reflects a broader trend within the legal market toward systematizing forensic experience into scalable digital infrastructures. By automating the preliminary assessment of reputational and penal exposure, the tool is positioned to assist decision-makers and legal counsel in identifying potential vulnerabilities prior to the onset of active litigation or regulatory scrutiny.
