Gómez-Pinzón Advises on Lavanderías Industrial Metropolitana’s Acquisition by Elis Colombia

Gómez-Pinzón advised Lavandería Industrial Metropolitana S.A.S., a company whose principal business is the provision industrialized laundry services, in the sale of the 100% of their shares to Elis Colombia S.A.S., a subsidiary of Elis, a French multinational company that provides laundry services throughout more than 20 different countries. The transaction closed January 14th.

Prior to closing, sellers conducted a carve-out transaction to exclude from Lavandería Metropolitana S.A.S. retail dry-cleaning business offered to individuals and non-operational assets.

Elis’ acquisition of the Bogotá-based company will facilitate its expansion strategy in Colombia.

Gómez-Pinzón’s team was led by partner Patricia Arrázola Bustilla, assisted by associates María Fernanda Restrepo and Álvaro Rueda Cortés, while Elis Colombia was advised by Posse Herrera Ruíz, with a team head by partner Jaime Cubillos Porto, assisted by senior associate Carolina Hernández and junior associate Arturo Umaña.
