Garrigues strengthens its Labor and Employment practice in Aragón with the appointment of Juan Grangel as partner

Garrigues has announced the appointment of Juan Grangel as a new partner in the Labor and Employment practice at its Zaragoza office, where he will lead the department in Aragón. His appointment is expected to be ratified at the firm’s next partners’ meeting.

Juan Grangel brings extensive experience in employment law, labor compliance, and the fight against employment fraud, following a distinguished career spanning both the public sector and private practice.

Alongside his work as a labor and social security inspector in La Rioja and Madrid, Grangel has held several senior public sector positions, including Head of the Health and Safety Unit at the La Rioja Regional Division of the Labor and Social Security Inspectorate, and Team Head at the Subdirectorate-General for the Inspection of Social Security, the Undeclared Economy and Immigration. Between 2018 and 2020, he served as Director of the National Anti-fraud Office, while also participating in the Management Board of the European Labour Authority and representing Spain on the European Platform against Undeclared Work.

A Law graduate from the University of Zaragoza, Grangel advises clients on employment and social security matters, combining strong technical expertise with a strategic and business-oriented approach focused on risk management and decision-making.

With this appointment, Garrigues continues to strengthen its presence in Aragón and further consolidates its position as a leading firm in labor and employment advisory services. The Zaragoza office has been providing legal advice across all areas of business law for more than 30 years.
