The firm's Corporate M&A team, led by Rodrigo Martos, now has 6 partners. This appointment comes just a few weeks after adding Adriana Lafuente to reinforce this same area.

After incorporating Adriana Lafuente as a partner in the department just a few weeks ago, the firm has now hired Pablo Vinageras, former Garrigues lawyer after his departure a few months ago, as a new M&A partner for its Barcelona office. With this incorporation, the department headed by Rodrigo Martos now has six partners (Rodrigo Martos, Paloma Mato, María Luisa de Alarcón, Ana Úbeda, Adriana Lafuente and Pablo Vinageras) and an of counsel (Xavier Miravalls).

Pablo, who has experience working in Mexico, USA and Spain, comes to Fieldfisher after more than 20 years working at Garrigues. Vinageras has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and commercial contracts, especially in relation to advising international investment companies with interests in Spain and start-ups. He was actively involved in various operations of purchase and sale of shares and assets, joint ventures, financing rounds, investment agreements, collaboration and specialization agreements, restructurings, among other areas related to transnational elements, with particular attention to Anglo-Saxon countries, China and Latin America.

Vinageras is an associate professor at ESADE Law School (Universitat Ramon Llull) where he teaches international business law and is an honorary member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), as well as an active member of the International Bar Association (IBA).

After joining Fieldfisher, he explains that he faces this new stage “with full enthusiasm and with the certainty of a great professional and personal development, in a firm that has a clear growth perspective, a very interesting project and defined growth objectives. In addition, the team is of exceptional human and professional quality and it is a pleasure to be part of it”.

Jordi Ruiz de Villa, managing partner of Fieldfisher in Spain says “Pablo is a new example of how Fieldfisher is able to attract excellence, talent and youth from other major Spanish law firms” and adds “We are convinced that while we will continue to incorporate partners specialising in very specific areas, we must continue to strengthen the traditional departments so that the firm acquires the strength that clients expect from us.”
