Entrepreneur Equity Partners invests in Venezia Football Club as part of €100m fundraising

Gianni & Origoni, in coordination with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, has assisted Entrepreneur Equity Partners LLC in its investment in VFC NEWCO 2023, LLC, the US-based holding company that owns Venezia Football Club. The operation is part of a broader plan to strengthen the ownership and capital structure of Venezia Football Club, following the club's announcement of a total €100 million fundraising initiated during the 2025-2026 sporting season. The investment aims to bolster the club's financial stability and support its sporting and infrastructural growth.

Entrepreneur Equity Partners is led by global figures in the sports, media, and entertainment sectors, including managers Tim Leiweke, Francesca Bodie, and Keegan McDonald. In connection with the investment, the club's new governance structure includes the appointment of Tim Leiweke as Co-Chairman of the Operating Committee of Venezia Football Club and Francesca Bodie as President of the Club.

Gianni & Origoni acted as local counsel for Italian and sports law profiles, assisting Entrepreneur Equity Partners LLC with the analysis of Italian corporate and regulatory aspects related to the investment, as well as the preparation and management of the complex regulatory filing phase with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
