eno energy Wind Portfolio and French Subsidiary Find New Owners Amid Restructuring Sale

Publicado el 28 may 2026

Significant assets of German wind energy company eno energy have been transferred to new owners as part of the ongoing restructuring of the Rostock-based developer and manufacturer.

A leading German renewable energy project developer has acquired a portfolio of approximately 50 onshore wind projects with a planned total capacity of around 1 GW. Located across several German federal states, the portfolio represents a substantial share of eno energy’s previously developed project pipeline.

In a separate transaction, French subsidiary Energie Eolienne France has been sold to Qair, the independent renewable energy producer. The deal supports the continuation of the subsidiary’s activities and strengthens Qair’s position in the French renewable energy market.

The transactions follow the opening of insolvency proceedings for eno energy, which led to the cessation of turbine production at the company’s Rostock facility, affecting around 170 employees. According to the insolvency administrator, the sale of the subsidiary will enable core operational activities to resume and help preserve a significant number of jobs during the restructuring process.

The insolvency administrator, Dr. Christoph Morgen of Brinkmann & Partner, was advised on both transactions by a team from Gleiss Lutz led by Dr. Matthias Tresselt (Restructuring, Stuttgart) together with Dr. Cornelia Topf and Dr. Julia Müller (both M&A, Frankfurt).
