Efic Partners Advises CINTAC on $40m Part-Acquisition of Calaminon

Efic Partners has advised Chile’s CINTAC S.A., subsidiary of the CAP group, in the acquisition of 70% of Calaminón. The operation was carried out through Steel Building, Cintac’s investment matrix in Peru, which has more than 20 year’s presence in the country, through its Tupemesa. The $40m deal closed on July 3rd.

Calaminon is a major producer of covers, coatings and modular construction systems and has more than 50 years’ experience in the Peruvian market. The group is made up of four companies: EGA SA, Fera Peru SA, Cold Panel SAC and Vigas y Tubos SAC.

 

During the past year, CAP group advanced its growth strategy in Peru with the inauguration of the most modern galvanized plant and the most sustainable isolated panels plant ever to be built in the country. Both facilities are located at the Tupemesa plant in Lurin, Lima.

Efic Partners in Peru and Bansud in Chile acted as financial counsel while Estudio Rodrigo, Elías, Medrano served as legal counsel to the buyer.

 

Capia and Estudio Muñoz served as financial and legal counsel to the seller, respectively.
