Diogo Leónidas Rocha joins J+Legal as partner

J+Legal has appointed Diogo Leónidas Rocha, until now at Garrigues, as the new partner responsible for M&A, banking, finance and capital markets practices. J+Legal respond to market demand for complex transactions in a wide range of sectors, pursuing the growth firm's strategy, formed in 2020.

With a law degree from the Catholic University of Lisbon and a postgraduate degree in European studies, Rocha is an experienced and recognized lawyer in the areas of M&A, banking, finance and capital markets, author of several publications on financial issues, with over 30 years of experience advising international clients on complex and innovative transactions in the Portuguese market, and being responsible for establishing one of the largest Spanish firms in Portugal, where he led the M&A, banking and finance departments.

Diogo has coordinated several mergers, acquisitions and financial operations, both nationally and internationally, including privatizations, takeover bids and initial public offerings, some worth more than €10 billion.
