Colombia’s CMS Rodríguez-Azuero integrates Sanabria & Andrade Abogados

Colombian law firm CMS Rodríguez-Azuero has announced the integration of local firm Sanabria & Andrade Abogados, a move which strengthens the former’s dispute resolution area.

With the aim of promoting the firm as a reference point in the area of l​litigation and arbitration in Colombia, CMS Rodríguez-Azuero incorporates partners Henry Sanabria and Felipe Andrade from Sanabria & Andrade Abogados, together with their team, to co-lead the dispute resolution practice and strengthen the firm’s intellectual property practice, which opens its doors to the field of biotechnology and plant breeder’s rights.

"This gives us as a firm the possibility to have their great experience and recognition in the dispute resolution area, in addition to expanding and diversifying our service offerings, mainly in the intellectual property area, and providing advice on issues related to plant breeder’s rights”, Juan Camilo Rodríguez, managing partner of CMS Rodríguez-Azuero, said.

Henry Sanabria is a litigation lawyer graduated from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, a specialist in civil procedural law, and with a master's degree in civil liability from the same university.

He currently works as a tenured professor of civil procedural law and is a member of the advisory and review commission of the general procedural code project, which was created by the federal government.

He is also a member of the Colombian Institute of Procedural Law.

Felipe Andrade is a law graduate from the Universidad Externado de Colombia with a postgraduate degree in intellectual property, with extensive experience in dispute resolution, arbitration and litigation.

He has acted as an advisor in the area of ​​legal consulting on intellectual property material, the development of strategies for innovation and business development.
