Colliers acquires Rome-based residential advisor Progedil

Colliers, the global professional services and investment management firm, has announced the acquisition of Progedil, a leading advisor in the Roman residential property market. The transaction represents a strategic step in Colliers’ expansion within Italy, significantly enhancing the firm’s capacity to manage large-scale urban regeneration projects and new residential development initiatives in one of the country’s most dynamic markets.
The integration of Progedil allows Colliers to leverage specialized local expertise to support its growth in the capital’s residential sector. Through this acquisition, the global group aims to consolidate its service offering for institutional and private developers involved in complex urban transformations and high-end residential projects.
BonelliErede provided legal assistance to Colliers with a multidisciplinary team led by partner Alessandro Balp, leader of the real estate focus team. The corporate and real estate workstream included senior counsel Federico Passamonti, associates Giovanni Bona Galvagno and Melian Zheng, and Riccardo Magnoni. Regulatory profiles were managed by senior counsel Andrea Savigliano and associate Alessandro Palumbo, alongside Nicla Squicciarini from the banking and insurance regulation department, which is led by Giuseppe Rumi, head of the banks focus team. For due diligence activities, BonelliErede utilised the transaction services team of beLab, led by managing director Michel Miccoli and coordinated by legal specialist Silvia Pisanu.
Progedil was advised by the international law firm Gianni & Origoni. The team consisted of partner Filippo Cecchetti, counsel Eleonora Laurito, and associate Maria Cristina Consoli for corporate, contractual, and real estate matters.
