Chile’s Albagli Zaliasnik names new head of labor practice

With a solid academic background, including a law degree from the Universidad de Chile, a master’s degree in labor and social security law from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and a diploma in litigation from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Jocelyn has consolidated a career focused on providing comprehensive advice to companies in various sectors.

“This appointment reinforces az's commitment to provide a service of excellence and trust, consolidating the labor group as a reference and leader in these matters, valuing the work done by the internal talent of the organization,” said Jorge Arredondo, a partner of the labor practice.

Since joining az as a senior associate in 2020, Jocelyn has led highly complex cases, such as litigation for anti-union practices, fundamental rights violations, and collective bargaining during challenging contexts such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, she has a comprehensive approach to labor compliance, due diligence, and training for companies in areas such as remuneration and fundamental rights.

Her professional experience includes roles at copper mining giant Codelco and the law firm Lizama Abogados, roles which reinforce her profile as a reference in the industry.

In addition to her work as a lawyer, Jocelyn has had an outstanding teaching career as an assistant professor of labor law at Clínica Jurídica, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
