Xavier Pujol joins Alantra as Secretary General and Global General Counsel
Mr. Pujol brings to the role more than 18 years of international legal experience in M&A, capital markets, corporate governance and restructurings.
Alantra, the global investment banking and asset management specialist, has appointed Xavier Pujol as Secretary General and Global General Counsel.
Mr. Pujol joins as a Partner and brings to the role more than 18 years of international legal experience in M&A, capital markets, corporate governance and restructurings. Since 2017, he has been the Secretary General and Secretary to the board of directors of PRISA. Mr. Pujol began his professional career at Cuatrecasas, was seconded to Herbert Smith and later helped launch Latham Watkins in Spain. In 2013 he joined PRISA as Deputy General Counsel.
Mr. Pujol holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Law from ESADE, was a visiting student at the University of Minnesota and graduated from the PLD program at IESE.
Commenting on the appointment, Santiago Eguidazu, Executive Chairman of Alantra, said: “Xavier’s international corporate experience, judgement and legal capabilities are a valuable addition to our company and will offer a valuable perspective in this new phase of the company.”

Mr. Pujol replaces Francisco Albella, who will continue in his role as Secretary to the board of directors and advisor on specific projects.
