On June, two promotions to partner have been made in the dispute resolution practice at the Miami office of Diaz Reus & Targ.
Paola Sánchez Torre joined the firm in 2012. She has extensive experience advising on international and domestic litigation matters. Her expertise includes assisting in international transactions, contract disputes and arbitrations.
Mrs. Sánchez is a certified anti-money laundering specialist and she is admitted to practice in Florida, the District of Columbia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
She holds a J.D. degree from American University Washington College of Law and has a B.S.B.A. in international management from American University.
Roland M. Potts joined in 2016. He specializes in litigation and arbitration. He has focused his practice on representing clients on business disputes, construction defects, products liability and breach of contract. In addition, he has wide experience related to employment issues, attorney malpractice, defamation, real estate and negligence, among others.
Mr. Potts has arbitrated several cases before the International Court of Arbitration for the International Chamber of Commerce, the American Arbitration Association, the Centro de Conciliación y Arbitraje de Panamá, the London Court of International Arbitration and the Society of Maritime Arbitrators.
He is vice-chairman for the International Ethics Committee of the American Bar Association and a member of the International Law Section of the Florida Bar and of the Cuban American Bar Association. He holds a J.D. degree from Florida International University College of Law, has an MBA from Florida International University Chapman School of Business and a B.S. in business administration from University of Miami.
