City firm Travers Smith, known for its excellence in all things private equity-related, has elected Kathleen Russ as Senior Partner. Russ joined the firm’s tax department in 2001 and headed it for 10 years, from 2007 to 2017. She will succeed as Senior Partner former corporate head Chris Hale, who was first elected to the leadership position in 2013 and whose second term will end on 1 July 2019.
Russ takes the helm at as good a time as any Senior Partner could ask for, at least in terms of financials; Travers has posted nine consecutive years of financial growth and current revenue stands at close to £150 million, as per figures released by the firm this summer.
