Tauil & Chequer unveils new public law partners

In mid-August, renowned full-service law firm Tauil & Chequer Advogados announced the hire of two new partners, esteemed attorneys Flavio Amaral Garcia and Henrique Rocha, in a move that bolsters the firm’s public law practice.

Hailing from highly specialized public law boutique Juruena Advogados, the new partners also bring to their new firm a seasoned team of counsel, which include Jessé Torres, Felipe Derbli and Rodrigo Zambão.

The movement goes in hand with Tauil & Chequer’s strategy of anticipating client's needs when doing business with the Brazilian government, which often includes complex regulatory discussions and  strategic disputes.

New public law partner, Henrique Rocha, brings over 20 years of experience in the legal market, with a strong focus in administrative and corporate issues, having previously led large-scale public-private business projects and sector-related arbitrations.

“We are noticing a change in attitude on the part of regulators when certain activities are transferred to private companies. To ensure the best support for our customers, we decided to increase our critical mass with the arrival of professionals with deep knowledge in matters that affect activities involving the public authorities in general, whether bidding or contracting, as well as administrative and/or judicial demands.", stated Victor Galante, managing partner of Tauil & Chequer Advogados.
