Tauil & Chequer announces new M&A partners
Christian Roschmann and Lilian Toscani join the firm’s M&A department
In May, renowned full-service law firm Tauil & Chequer in association with Mayer Brown announced Christian Roschmann and Lilian Toscani as its new partners, in a move that strengthens the firm’s M&A practice.
Mr. Roschmann has over 25 years of experience in the legal market and a vast expertise advising foreign and domestic companies, as well as funds and financial institutions, on joint ventures and complex cross-border transactions, such as M&As and private equity investments. Coming from Lefosse, he has also previously worked at major international law firm Linklaters and is the current vice president of the German-Brazilian Chamber of Industry and Commerce of São Paulo.
Academically, Christian holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Munich (Germany) and a Ph.D. from the University of Kiel (Germany).
Lilian Toscani joins Tauil & Chequer with more than two decades of experience in the legal market, having previously worked as General Counsel of COFCO International, as well as in major law firms such as Lefosse and Manassero Campello. Ms. Toscani specializes in sophisticated M&A transactions, as well as in joint ventures and corporate reorganizations related to the agribusiness, life sciences and technology industries.
Academically, she holds a Bachelor of Laws and an LL.M. in Business Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP), in addition to an LL.M. in Corporate Law and Financial Law and Capital Markets from IBMEC.
