Stocche Forbes Makes New Partners and Counsel

In early December, distinguished full-service outfit Stocche Forbes Advogados announced the promotion of Clarissa Oliveira and Guilherme Gaspari Coelho to the partnership, with Paola Gomes also being promoted to counsel. With this wave of promotions, the firm boosts its corporate, bankruptcy and white-collar crime capabilities.



Head of the White-Collar and Corporate Investigations department, Clarissa Oliveira is the first partner at Stocche Forbes who will focus exclusively on criminal law proceedings. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, one specialization degree in Criminology, Penal Law and Public Security from Instituto Brasileiro de Ciências Criminais (IBCC) as well as two postgraduate courses, one in Economic and European Penal Law from Universidade de Coimbra and another in Economic Penal Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). With over 13 years of experience in the legal market, Ms. Oliveira has practiced at renowned firms such as Podval, Antun, Indalécio, Raffaini, Beraldo Advogados, Trench Rossi Watanabe Advogados and Veirano Advogados, before joining Stocche Forbes in 2017. She is well-placed to handle a range of criminal matters, from corruption and financial crimes to corporate investigations, fraud and asset recovery.



After accumulating a decade’s worth of experience at renowned litigators Dinamarco, Rossi, Beraldo & Bedaque Advocacia, Guilherme Gaspari Coelho is set to play an important role as the newest partner of the Litigation, Arbitration, Insolvency and Debt Restructuring team at Stocche Forbes. Mr. Coelho earned both his Bachelor of Laws and his Master’s degree in Civil Procedure from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and later completed an LL.M. at the University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in corporate and debt restructurings, preventive dispute resolution, civil litigation and arbitration proceedings.



New counsel Paola Carrara de Sambuy Gomes holds a Bachelor of Laws from PUC-SP, an LL.M. from the University of Miami and previously served as a visiting attorney at the New York office of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russel. With over 20 years of experience under her belt, Ms. Gomes is set to focus on corporate law, contracts, M&A as well as restructuring proceedings involving both privately held and listed companies.
