Bonilla’s expertise includes acting as lawyer, secretary, and arbitrator in international and local arbitrations. He is an arbitrator of the Center of Arbitration of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá.
With over 20 years’ experience in judicial and arbitral processes, representing local and international clients before civil and administrative jurisdictions, arbitration tribunals and administrative authorities, he has acquired significant expertise in liability proceedings, insolvency proceedings, consumer rights, restrictive competition practices and unfair competition.
A graduate of Universidad Externado de Colombia, Bonilla has postgraduate qualifications in business and contract law from the aforementioned university.
“Juan Pablo has distinguished himself throughout his career at the firm for his intense dedication to cases and clients, his deep legal knowledge, his constant willingness to support all areas of the firm, his kind and respectful treatment, his vocation for promotion, as well as his interest in leading teams and contributing to the professional growth of the firm's lawyers. This promotion is recognition of an excellent professional career and his qualities as an individual, as well as the commitment he has shown to the firm. He has all the leadership qualities you need to take on the mantlepartner at a firm such as ours,” commented name-partner Daniel Posse Velásquez.
