Thompson & Knight has named Rodolfo Rueda Ballesteros as a new partner in its Mexico City office, and who forms part of the firm’s international energy practice.

Maria Figueiredo, who was a partner at Miranda & Associados since 2018, has over 20 years of experience and has developed her expertise in the area of tax, having followed several operations and projects of tax reorganization of investments, in the jurisdictions of the Portuguese-speaking African countries. She has also provided tax advice to the largest companies operating in the region and in the most varied business sectors. With focus mainly on oil, gas and renewable energies, she was involved in the first solar project in Angola.
According to managing partner, José Luís Arnaut, "This reinforcement is a demonstration of the growth we are having in this area since we incorporated this team into CMS.
