Pinheiro Neto announces new partners for 2023

In late November, full-service powerhouse Pinheiro Neto Advogados announced the promotion of six new partners for 2023 – Camila Martino Parise, Cauê Rezende Myanaki, João Rafael L. Gândara de Carvalho, Natalia Lugero de Almeida, Vinicius Pimenta Seixas and Tiago Eler Silva, in a move that bolster strategic departments within the firm.

The new partners 

  

Camila Martino Parise is the new partner of the firm’s Life Sciences & Healthcare and Public Law departments. With over two decades in the firm, she has vast experience assisting national and foreign clients on regulatory issues, as well as on M&A transactions, reorganizations, divestments, licensing contracts, joint ventures, technology transfers, clinical trials, amongst others sector related matters. Academically, she holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidade Paulista (UNIP) and a postgraduate degree in Administrative Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).   

  

Cauê Rezende Myanaki specializes in Corporate, M&A, Capital Markets and Private Equity and has been a part of Pinheiro Neto’s team for the past 19 years. He routinely advises local and foreign companies on M&A transactions, governance for publicly-held companies, private equity, administrative proceedings before the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Comission and stock options. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Laws from Pontifícia Universidade de São Paulo (PUC-SP), a specialization degree in Corporate Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and an LL.M. degree from University of Chicago Law School. In addition to having a license to practice law in New York, he has also acted as a foreign associate to Davis Polk & Wardell LLP.  

  

João Rafael L. Gândara de Carvalho joined Pinheiro Neto in 2004 and now joins the firm’s Tax, Social Security, International Trade and Shipping departments as a partner. Mr. Carvalho is frequently retained by clients to advise on litigation and advisory matters. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master’s degree from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).  

 

Since 2006, Natalia Lugero de Almeida has been a part of Pinheiro Neto’s White-Collar Crimes and Compliance department. Now as a partner, she will focus her practice on criminal litigation and internal investigations. Academically, she holds a Bachelor of Laws from PUC-SP and postgraduate degrees in Criminal Economic Law from Instituto Brasileiro de Ciências Criminais (IBCCRIM) and from Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra (Portugal).   

    

With 13 years of experience in Tax Law, Vinicius Pimenta Seixas routinely advises clients on foreign investments in Brazil, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, real estate transactions, amongst other matters. Academically, the new partner obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from FGV and an LL.M. in International Taxation from the New York University (NYU), in addition to a license to practice law in New York. He has previously acted as a foreign associate in Japan and Luxembourg.  

  

Tiago Eler Silva has been in Pinheiro Neto since 2015 advising clients on corporate, M&A, private equity, venture capital and corporate dispute from a myriad of sectors, such as aviation, power, telecommunications, real estate, amongst others. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Laws from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) and an LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
