In early July, retailer Petz has completed the purchase of Petix, manufacturer of sanitary rugs for domestic animals, in a movement that aims to complete competencies and position itself beyond retail.
The purchase of Petix, owner of the Super Secão brand, was announced at the end of January. Petz paid BRL 60 million for the company, of which BRL 35 million in shares. The transaction also provides for an earn-out of R$10 million to be paid from 2023 to 2025, according to certain targets.
“When we look at what we've acquired so far, we've taken the best of what we bought. We are very comfortable with what we have brought so far”, says Aline Pena, Petz's financial director.
As a result, Petz's capital stock rose to R$1.724 billion, divided into 461,590,645 shares and Petix became its wholly-owned subsidiary.
