Axel Schulz joins Brussels office of McDermott Will & Emery
Axel Schulz has left White & Case to become a partner in the antitrust practice of McDermott Will & Emery in Brussels.
Peruvian law firm Estudio Muñiz has announced the promotion of 12 senior partners, Itala Bertolotti, Ricardo de la Piedra, Elard Dianderas, Annalucía Fasson, Ian Galarza, Nathaly Guerrero, Andrea Jara, Magali Lazo, Carlos Morán, Daniel Palomino, Frezzia Saavedra and Boris Sebastiani.
Itala Bertolotti is a lawyer specialized in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, startups and venture capital, foreign investment, real estate. She has a master’s degree in corporate legal advice from IE Law School, and is an associate professor of the Legal Act course at the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC).
Ricardo de la Piedra specializes in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions. He has an international MBA from IE Business School and is a professor at the Law School of the University of Lima. He is also the author of more than 50 articles in books and magazines specialized in law, and in business journals.
Elard Dianderas specializes in municipal regulation and authorizations, administrative law, real estate and construction. He holds a master’s degree in procedural law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and has a diploma with specialization in energy law from Universidad ESAN (2014).
Annalucía Fasson specializes in corporate law, fashion and retail, mergers and acquisitions. She studied the Law Institute at Fordham Law University, New York, with a specialization in fashion law, and is a member of the fashion law committee of the Interamerican Association of Intellectual Property (Asipi), and of the Association of Fashion Law Experts in Spain.
She holds a master’s degree in finance and corporate law from ESAN University.
For his part, new senior partner Ian Galarza specializes in criminal law, compliance, economic law and criminal procedural law. He is a member of the Peruvian Institute of Criminal Procedural Science, and of the Compliance Committee of AMCHAM Peru.
He is a professor of economic criminal law and criminal procedural law at the Law School of the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC). He holds a master’s degree in criminal law and criminal sciences from the University of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra University (Spain).
Nathaly Guerrero holds a law degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, with a specialization in criminal law, and a master’s degree in criminal law and criminal sciences from the universities of Barcelona and Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona (Spain).
Andrea Jara specializes in corporate law, aviation law, mergers and acquisitions, civil law and registry law, and graduated from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas. She has more than 12 years of work experience at Estudio Muñiz.
Magali Lazo is a lawyer specialized in infrastructure, PPP and project finance and syndications. She is a member of the Project Management Institute and has a master’s degree in finance and corporate law from ESAN University. She is also a professor on the regulatory law course, and on the postgraduate course in administrative law at Universidad Continental.
Carlos Morán is a specialist in selection processes and administrative law. With work experience in the Central Office of Legal Counsel of EsSalud as lawyer of the Management of Administrative Affairs and coordinator of the Office of Contracting and Procurement of the State.
Daniel Palomino specializes in mining and sustainable development, environmental law, oil and gas, and cybersecurity. A member of the International Bar Association (IBA), on the Mining Law Committee and in the Oil & Gas Law Committee, he has a master’s degree in law from Tel Aviv University in Israel, and in mining law from the Peter A. Allard School of Law of the University of British Columbia in Canada.
Frezzia Saavedra is a specialist in tax law and corporate law, is a member of the Peruvian Institute of Tax Law and of the Tax Studies Group (GEF) of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, while new senior partner Boris Sebastiani specializes in labor regulation, regulation in collective bargaining and labor judicial processes.
He has a master’s degree in organizational development and people management from Universidad del Pacífico and Universidad del Desarrollo de Chile.
