Peru’s Benites, Vargas & Ugaz presents new tax team

Peruvian law firm Benites Vargas & Ugaz (BVU) has announced the incorporation of Eduardo Rojas Saldaña as partner in its tax and agribusiness area, and has presented a new team to further strengthen the practice.

Rojas has a background in corporate law and finance, as well as agribusiness law. Trained in prominent national and international institutions, his work has been recognized by leading legal publications, and he is an active member of the Peruvian Institute of Tax Law (IPDT).

A graduate in law from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, he also holds an MBA from Universidad del Pacífico, and has completed several specialization courses at the Universidad Austral de Argentina, Georgetown University, Leiden University and at the University of Chicago.

Prior to joining BVU, he worked at firms including CMS Grau, Deloitte, EY and Ontier.

Also in the tax and agribusiness practice, María Gracia Osores Guiulfo assumes the position of senior lawyer. Trained in law and business, and specializing in accounting and corporate compliance, she is a graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and has studied several specialization courses in schools in Germany and Spain.

Prior to joining BVU, she worked as a senior associate in the tax and compliance practice at law firm ONTIER, in addition to PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Also joining the practice is Mitchel Rivas Bendezú, who assumes the role of assistant. A lawyer specializing in tax crimes, he holds a master's degree from the Universidad San Martín de Porres.

Prior to joining BVU, he worked as a legal assistant at ONTIER, and at Monteza, Vásquez & Rivera Abogados.
