Lima-based law firm Aramburu Castañeda Boero Abogados has announced the incorporation of Mauricio Cavero Blumenfeld as a new partner tax partner. This move brings the firm’s number of partners to five.
Cavero-Blumenfeld had served as a managing partner for the last 17 years at Cavero-Blumenfeld Llosa & R. La Rosa Abogados, and joined Aramburu Castañeda Boero Abogados in January.
He was more than 20 years’ experience as a lawyer and has focused his practice on tax matters, as well as private-public investment projects and regulations.
He is a law graduate from the Universidad de Lima and holds postgraduate studies in commercial and tax law, and is a judge for Lima’s Chamber of Commerce.
“I am joined by history to ACB Abogados from the start of my professional career,” Cavero-Blumenfeld commented. “Today they are the professional values, centered on an ethical and transparent practice and the firm’s growth projections that have motivated me to join it.”
“My main aim will be to translate my experience in tax, customs and municipal processes, as well as in private investment projects and my active participation in arbitration proceedings to strengthen the firm’s vision as a services provider,” he added.
“Being a partner at the firm means being part of those aims and contributing to them.”
Regarding the hire, Oscar Boero, a managing partner at the firm, said: “Mauricio is a professional who shares our vision, with vast experience in the issues we will develop together.”
“Our tax practice needed to continue to grow and strengthen, above all because regulatory activity in this area has increased in recent years and we want to continue to offer integral counsel,” Boero added.
