Pérez-Llorca signs Fernando de la Mata as litigation and arbitration partner

Fernando de la Mata has joined Pérez-Llorca as a partner in the firm’s litigation and arbitration practice in its Barcelona office.
De la Mata has a law degree from the University of Barcelona and a master's degree in community law from the University of Liège.
Before joining Pérez-Llorca, De la Mata had been a partner with Cortés Abogados 2018. He has extensive experience in in civil and commercial matters, including corporate, banking, fundamental rights, conflicts in M&A deals and joint ventures, and civil liability. Likewise, he has acted as an arbitrator or lawyer in numerous arbitration proceedings.
De la Mata is also an associate professor of private international law at the ESADE Law School. He also teaches courses at UPF’s legal master’s program.
Pérez-Llorca’s international arbitration practice is ranked Excellent by Leaders League, while its commercial litigation practice is ranked Leading.
