In a 2,000 m2 building in a prime location in Lisbon, Pérez-Llorca will set up its own office and team from the summer of 2024 and will practice Portuguese law.
Pérez-Llorca is preparing to establish itself in Lisbon from the summer of 2024. This new office is Pérez-Llorca’s fifth outside Spain after those located in the three global financial capitals of London, New York and Singapore, and the regulatory capital of Europe, Brussels.
With this new office, the firm continues to expand outside Spain’s borders as part of its growth and internationalization strategy, with the aim to increase the work that the firm has already been carrying out in this market in order to cover the entire Iberian Peninsula. Likewise, Lisbon’s office will also serve as a liaison to strengthen the firm’s relationship with the Brazilian market and other Portuguese-speaking jurisdictions.
To begin to structure this project, last June the firm incorporated Gonçalo Godinho, a partner with more than 20 years of international experience in the Brazilian, Portuguese, British and US markets. Godinho will combine his work on the Pérez-Llorca international project with the development of the firm’s strategy in Portuguese-speaking markets and with advising clients on commercial matters, mainly in matters of energy and infrastructure.
The project’s commitment to society, “Building Together,” will offer legal services, tax advice and training to social organizations free of charge.
