Pérez-Llorca hires Hogan Lovells partner Joaquín Ruiz Echauri
Pérez-Llorca has recruited Hogan Lovells insurance partner Joaquín Ruiz Echauri.

Ruiz Echauri, whose expertise includes insurance and reinsurance, had been with Hogan Lovells for more than 13 years.
In his new role he will be responsible for establishing an insurance and reinsurance practice at Pérez-Llorca.
Ruiz Echauri has more than 25 years of experience providing corporate, regulatory and litigious advice to insurance and reinsurance clients.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, he was a director at EY and, before that, an in-house lawyer at Mapfre.
He has advised on M&A transactions, bancassurance alliances and reorganisations. He has also provided regulatory advice related to product design, insurance and reinsurance mediation, pension plans and funds.
He is also a specialist in insurance litigation, as well as arbitration.
Ruiz Echauri’s recent work included advising Allianz on its bancassurance alliance with BBVA, and advising Ibercaja on its restructuring process. He also advised Mutua Madrileña on the analysis of the impact of Covid-19 on the insurance sector.
