ONTIER hires Francisco Javier Loriente and Jaime Peiro as partners in its public law and tax practice areas

ONTIER announced it has hired State Attorney Francisco Javier Loriente in the Department of Public and Regulatory Law and prosecutor Jaime Peiro in the Tax Department as partners in the Spanish office.

In the words of the managing partner of ONTIER Spain, Pedro Rodero, the new partners “are very important to continue strengthening key areas of our business and to match the strong growth of the firm with the inclusion of top-level professionals who also have a clear vision of the business both in its national and global dimension.”

Loriente has a law degree from the University of Zaragoza and has been a state attorney since 2006. He has held numerous responsibilities, including Secretary General and the Council and Director of Legal Affairs of the Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI). He is the author of numerous works related to Public and Administrative Law.

Jaime Peiro has degrees in law and economic and business sciences from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE). In addition, he has a master’s degree in taxation from the Center for Financial Studies (CEF). With more than 17 years of professional experience, he has worked at Cuatrecasas, EY Abogados, and KPMG Abogados.

He has specialized in the tax structuring of cross-border operations for international and Spanish multinational groups, as well as in tax due diligence processes, tax review of financial models, and transactional documents. He has been recognized each year in the Best Lawyers publication in the Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions Law category since 2019 and awarded the 40under40 award from Iberian Lawyer.
