Morales & Besa has advised Aguas Chañar’s shareholders on the sale of the 100% of the shares issued by the company to the Japanese holding Marubeni and the Chilean fund manager Toesca Asset Management. The deal was signed on April 27th.
Founded in 2003, Aguas Chañar S.A. is a Chilean water utility company engaged in the development, construction and operation of drinking water production and also to the distribution of facilities. In addition, the company provides water and sewer services in the III Region of Chile, in Copiapó for more than 93,000 clients.
The transaction is subject to the approval of Chilean antitrust authorities and other conditions common on these transactions.
