Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett have advised CPS Comunicaciones S.A. (Metrotel) in connection with a loan agreement worth $75m.


Metrotel is an Argentinian company with more than 25 years’ experience providing telecommunications services to leading companies in the market.

 

ING Capital LLC acted as lead arranger, bookrunner, administrative agent and lender; the New York Branch of Itaú Unibanco SA as lender; the Bank of New York Mellon as collateral agent; and TMF Trust Company SA, as onshore collateral agent.

 

Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal acted as counsel to the borrower in Argentina, led by partner Hernán Slemenson, assisted by associate Matías Brouchy. In addition, Marval served as counsel on Argentine law to TMF Trust Company SA through partner Roberto Silva and associate Martín Lanús.

 

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett acted as counsel to the borrower on New York law with partner Todd Crider, counsel Ismael Duran and associate Cristina González.

 

Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi acted as counsel to the lenders in Argentina with partner Analía Battaglia and associates, Andrés Chester, Juan Ignacio Massun and Sofía Gallo.

 

Morgan Lewis & Bockius acted as counsel to the lenders as to New York law, with a team led by partners Thomas Mellor and Marcus Marsh, and assisted by associate Ashley Barclift.

 

Emmet, Marvin & Martin acted as counsel to The Bank of New York Mellon through partner Elizabeth Clark and associate Gregory Yenik.
