Julie Spinelli, member of the Paris bar since 2009, has joined le 16 Avocats, becoming the 4th partner at this niche boutique. Spinelli specializes in international arbitration and has previously worked at Freshfields and Derains & Gharavi international.

In her ten years in law, Julie Spinelli has had the opportunity to advise many European and multinational companies on major international disputes, both in commercial and investment arbitration.  Most of the time she represents clients before French courts in disputes related to arbitration including disputes on the enforcement or annulment of arbitral awards. She also regularly speaks at conferences and is the author of many publications on her field of expertise.

"Julie’s profile, very complementary to ours, comes to reinforce our service offering in resolving complex disputes thanks to her know-how in international arbitration," commented Alexandra Szekely, partner at the firm, while Spinelli herself added“ I share with my new partners the same values of high standards and commitment to serve our clients, as well as the same ambition to make le 16 Avocats a recognized law firm and a reference for foreign law firms that do not have a presence in France.” Joining le 16 Avocats gives Spinelli the opportunity to work once again with Jean-Luc Larribau with whom she spent eight years at Freshfields.
