Claudia Távara has been promoted to a partner level position in the banking & finance practice and Manuel Madrid as head in the real estate department at Lazo de Romaña Abogados, effective January 1st. They join a team of seven partners and 23 associates., including the recently added litigation partner Richard Allemant.
Távara has more than 15 years’ experience in corporate and financial law. She has extensive experience in M&A, banking, finance, insurance, asset restructuring, contracts and civil asset equity. She provides legal advice to clients such as the credit bank BCP, Credicorp Capital Servicios Financieros, Scotiabank Peru and Private Investment Fund Income One.
Távara’s expertise includes having participated in major transactions such as the $44m financial leasing between the Mall Aventura and the BCP, as well as in obtaining $30m credit for debt of Abengoa Peru.
A graduate of San Martin de Porres University, she has postgraduate qualifications from the University of Lima and ESAN University.
Madrid has more than 14 years’ experience in real estate and urban planning. A graduate of Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, he holds a master’s in management and real estate development from ESAN University. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Chehade Abogados.
