Katia Vaskys Appointed As IBM Brasil President

In mid-January, renowned executive Katia Vaskys was appointed as the new president of IBM Brasil, the first woman to ever hold the position. According to the company, Ms. Vaskys' mission is to accelerate the digital transformation of clients and partners, focusing on the implementation of hybrid clouds and artificial intelligence.
Ms. Vaskys has over 24 years of experience in the technology sector, having previously worked for tech giants such as Oracle, SAP, Siebel Systems and Teradata Corporation before joining IBM in 2010. Academically, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo, a postgraduate degree in Information Technology from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi and undertook an Executive Education Program in Leading Strategic Growth from Columbia Business School.
