Hogan Lovells, led in Madrid by Lucas Osorio, has reinforced its litigation and arbitration department with the signing of Gonzalo Ardila, who arrives from Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, where he was the head of the same practice area.
He specializes in commercial litigation and domestic and international arbitration, representing clients in the energy, infrastructure and distribution sectors. At the same time, he has been in charge of claims in the insurance sector. Additionally, he is a member of the Spanish Arbitration Club.
According to José Luis Huerta, head of the litigation and arbitration area of the the firm's Madrid office, the aim of this move is to strengthen the firm in the face of a foreseeable "increase in litigation" in the market.
