A new merger is making waves in the Italian market, with Gatti Pavesi Bianchi and Ludovici Piccone & Partners merging in January 2021 to become Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici.

The merger brings to fruition a project that the partners of the new firm had been cultivating for a long time, which had two fundamental objectives in the areas of labor and tax. The plan started to take shape in 2018 with the arrival of Nicola Bonante and Paola Tradati who joined the firm alongside an excellent labor law team. And now, with the arrival of Paolo Ludovici, Pietro Piccone and the entire team that, in the last six years, has given life to one of the strongest brands in the tax and fiscal market, the firm has gained a top level tax practice.

The deal reinforces Gatti Pavesi Bianchi’s long-standing commitment to the multidisciplinary development of its offer. The potential of the new firm is enormous: the combined revenue of the two firms in 2019 is such that the superboutique likely will start life with a turnover of about €50 million.

The new firm will be able to count on the expertise of 140 professionals, including 20 equity partners, and boast offices in Milan, Rome, London, Vienna and Luxemburg, where Ludovici Piccone recently opened an office.
