Fieldfisher Merges With JS Partners in China
On November 15th 2016, the Chinese firm JS Partners merged with Fieldfisher under a Swiss verein structure.
Established in 2008 and based in Beijing, the firm today has 12 partners and specializes in antitrust and competition, capital markets, corporate, dispute resolution, employment, inbound investment, intellectual property and outbound investment. This move is considered to have enhanced Fieldfisher’s capacity to satisfy the growing demands of “Chinese clients seeking to invest and do business in Europe” as well as “international clients seeking opportunities in China,” according to Fieldfisher managing partner Michael Chissick.
This is Fieldfisher’s third merger in the last six months, after it joined up with Studio Associato Servizi Professionali Integrati (SASPI) and its 21 partners across Milan, Rome, Venice and Turin in Italy in July, and then with 18-partner firm Hill Hostetter in Birmingham (UK) in November.
