In early October, former Sergio Bermudes Advogados partner, Leonardo de Campos Melo, announced the launch of dispute resolution boutique LDCM – Leonardo De Campos Melo Advogados. The new Rio-based firm will focus on strategic arbitration, judicial and administrative litigation as well as mediation proceedings via its experienced team which, besides Mr. Campos Melo, consists of Rodrigo Moreira, Pedro Lopes and Vitor Szpiz Nascimento.



Before launching LCDM Advogados, founding partner Leonardo de Campos Melo spent over 15 years at market-leading dispute resolution firms, Sergio Bermudes Advogados and Ferro, Castro Neves, Daltro & Gomide Advogados, specializing in high-end arbitration and litigation mandates. Mr. Campos Melo holds a Bachelor of Laws from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), an LL.M. in International Commercial Arbitration from American University Washington College of Law and a Master’s in Civil Law from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).



Partner Rodrigo Cavalcante Moreira formerly worked as an associate in the dispute resolution departments of renowned firms Trench Rossi Watanabe and TozziniFreire Advogados, before joining LDCM as one of its founding partners. Mr. Moreira focuses on domestic and international dispute resolution cases and holds a Master’s in International Law from UERJ.



Partner Pedro Perreira Lopes earned postgraduate degrees in Private Patrimonial Law and Civil Procedural Law from PUC-Rio. Throughout his career, Mr. Lopes has practiced at major firms such as Pinheiro Guimarães Advogados and Motta Fernandes Rocha Advogados. He specializes in civil and corporate litigation as well as credit recovery mandates.



The team at LDCM Advogados will focus on both national and international dispute resolution and is used to cooperating with well-known foreign firms on complex multijurisdictional issues.
