Chile’s Jara del Favero and Ried Fabres Merge

In a world where the standards of legal services are improving, given the complex and increasing demands that business poses today, Jara del Favero has decided to join forces with Ried Fabres, to create a new mid-sized practice under the name Jara del Favero & Ried Fabres, effective August 1st. The new team is made up of ten partners, a consultant and 30 associates.

Jara del Favero has extensive experience in the environmental, natural resources, mining, corporate, tax, litigation and negotiation, regulatory, free competition or antitrust and labor areas, while Ried Fabres specializes in capital market law and corporate law issues, such as placement of shares, takeover, compliance, investments, banking law and financing, among others.

"Our goal is that clients find in Jara del Favero & Ried Fabres the services they require, with the necessary specialization and professionalism that is required at present, due to the complexity and regulation of the different markets." said Jorge Schenke, a partner at the firm.

"We have seen that local firms are beginning to compete with the arrival of international offices, which makes it even more important to have comprehensive and competitive firms. The most simple or routine legal works have been standardized, so they have no added value. Specialization allows intervening in matters of greater complexity and importance." remarked Álvaro Cavieres.
