In late March, up-and-coming M&A attorneys Bruno Tanus and Felipe Ribeiro do Val announced the launch of TDV Advogados, a São Paulo-based corporate law boutique focused on legal solutions, technology, and innovation.
The firm’s client portfolio includes well-known national and foreign companies, investment funds (including venture capital and private equity), entrepreneurs, family offices, angel investors, accelerators, incubators and innovation funding agencies. TDV Advogados adopts a lean full-service concept, as other practices, such as tax, labor, intellectual property, compliance, dispute resolution, support the firm's core business of corporate law. TDV Advogados has also developed the “Law as a Service (Laas)” solution, based on a secondment structure to assist clients with specific in-house issues which require temporary labor resources such as work leaves and a lack of headcount.
Bruno Tanus, the firm’s co-founder, is a well-known attorney with 18 years of experience in the legal market. He has previously worked for distinguished financial institutions and law firms, such as Santander, Itaú, Murray Advogados, Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados and Benicio Advogados Associados.
Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Laws from Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas, a specialization degree in Biotech Law and Biotech Business from Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen (Germany), a PhD in Law from Universidad de Salamanca (Spain) and a PhD in European and Compared Legal Studies from Università di Trento (Italy).
Co-founder and name partner Felipe Ribeiro do Val started his career as an intern at full-service giant Pinheiro Neto Advogados in 2007. He has also worked at Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados as well as AMAL – Empreendimentos e Mineiradora before co-founding TDV Advogados.
Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Laws from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and a postgraduate degree in Finance from Insper.
“Our mission is to impact to make businesses happen and our client’s success is our greatest inspiration.”, stated Mr. Tanus.
