Amprimo & Flury Abogados has bolstered its arbitration and real estate practice groups with the appointment of Eduardo Barboza as partner. Together with Eduardo, Jaime Miranda joined the firm and both will be co-leading the civil and contractual division of the firm.
Mr. Barboza focuses on civil and contract law, real estate and arbitration. Eduardo has advised in structuring, negotiating and executing several real estate projects. He has also acted as arbitrator in a large number of local and international disputes.
Prior to this appointment, Eduardo worked as senior partner and head of the civil and contracts division at Estudio Echecopar, a Baker McKenzie International member firm, for over 30 years. Jaime also comes from Estudio Echecopar, where he worked for ten years in the civil, contractual and real estate matters.
Barboza graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and has a master’s degree from the University of Virginia. He also has experience abroad, having been part of the Latin American practice group of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr in Washington, D.C. In addition, he is a professor of contract law at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú since 2000, participating regularly as an author and guest-lectured in both local and international events related to his areas of expertise.
Mr. Miranda graduated from Universidad Catòlica de Santa Marìa and holds a master’s degree in commercial law from the Universidad de Lima. In addition, he is a professor of civil law at Universidad de Lima.
