Tomás Neiva started his career in the financial market, as a lawyer for investment banks. From 2006 to 2010, he worked in Garrigues (Madrid) as part of the structured finance team, where he was involved in some of the main project finance transactions in the Spanish market. Since his return to Brazil in 2011, he has been providing extensive advisory services to foreign companies in various industries for their investment projects in Brazil, including structured finance, M&As, venture capital, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, and energy and infrastructure projects. For many years, he acted as a visiting professor for the Project Finance module of the UAH / CIFF Master’s degree in Business Law, being a frequent speaker on this subject. Currently, he is a guest professor of Project Financing in the Masters in Law of FGV Direito SP, professor of corporate law in the course Law in Startups, promoted by Insper, and professor in the course of Corporate Practice of BITS Academy.
Rosi Costa Barros
Rosi Barros works in the area of infrastructure, focusing on infrastructure projects, especially in the area of electrical energy. Her work within the infrastructure sector includes participation in tender procedures, advice on regulatory issues and the preparation, negotiation and analysis of risks in project implementation agreements in the areas of: EPC – Engineering, Procurement and Construction – Lump Sum; Guaranteed Maximum Price; Equipment Supply Agreements; Civil Construction Agreements; agreements related to the marketing of electrical energy; supply agreements for natural gas; energy conversion contracts (ECC); operating and maintenance agreements, among others.
Marcela Figueiró started out in her career as a company lawyer in the construction sector in Madrid (Spain). Since returning to Brazil in 2004, having collaborated with the largest national law firms, she has been advising national and foreign clients, particularly on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations, as well as in project structured financing, government bond offers and the structuring of real estate investment funds, equity funds and credit right funds. Her work on infrastructure projects also includes advice on tenders and regulatory matters.
Brunno Morette has more than 10 years’ experience advising national and foreign clients on their investment projects in Brazil, focusing on corporate law, M&A transactions and contracts in general, having collaborated with important Brazilian law firms with both national and international presence, and as in-house counsel for the holding of an important Brazilian industrial group. He was visiting associate at Garrigues in Madrid in April 2012 and July 2013.
William began his career acting in a law firm in the area of Regulatory Law. In 2013 he worked in the Chamber of Electric Energy Commercialization – CCEE, the entity responsible for the management of electric energy commercialization in the country. Since then he has been working in the area of Regulatory Law, focusing on the electric sector.
Cindy started her career in tax planning and foreign trade, advising national and foreign clients in large law firms. Since 2014 she has been working in the area of contractual and business consultancy, forming part of a company team based on the sector of business franchises and working as in-house lawyer in a French multinational.
Thais began her career acting in Chamber of Electric Energy Commercialization – CCEE. From 2013 to 2016 she worked with Regulatory Law in the law firm. From 2016 until 2019 she worked in the regulatory department, focusing on transmission electric power, of the electric power transmission company of the State of São Paulo.
