Our IP/IT & Media practice group is active in all matters related to the protection of creative works. Our services encompass advising on and litigating copyright, trademark and patent, databases, models and designs, as well as trade secrets, technology licensing and outsourcing of IT services, software, multimedia and telecom.
We are recognized for our extensive experience in the advertising sector where we act mainly for advertising agencies, in media law, and in the entertainment industry where we assist principally clients from the TV, the motion picture and the music sector as well as from the design sector.
Our team is also very active in data protection since many years; we advise clients on all issues related to data protection, and assist them in their GDPR-compliance processes. We also act as DPO for various clients.
Corporate and Tax
Our corporate team assists a broad range of clients – from international corporations to growing and start-up businesses – throughout their entire corporate life, from incorporation and setting-up businesses, financing their activities, to corporate governance and restructurings. Our team members have a large experience in local and international M&A work.
We draft and negotiate merger, purchase and sale agreements in various forms and we assist our clients in setting up shareholder agreements and establishing joint ventures.
Our tax team advises both individuals and companies with regard to international and domestic issues of company tax, income tax and VAT. We also advise on special tax schemes for investment in the entertainment sector (tax shelter) and on tax treatment of IP-rights.
We represent our clients in filing applications for advance tax rulings, obtaining the special tax regime for foreign executives, and in tax litigation.
