Jeffrey Fisher appointed as a special counsel in the firm's Supreme Court and Appellate Practice.

O'Melveny & Myers has announced its capture of Stanford Law School professor Jeffrey Fisher, with the veteran Supreme Court advocate joining as a special counsel.

He brings a wealth of experience in high-stakes appellate disputes, having argued 35 cases before the Court across his distinguished career. Notable successes include appearing in Riley v California to challenge warrantless searches of digital information stored on cellphones and serving as co-counsel to the plaintiffs in the landmark Obergefell v Hodges marriage equality dispute.

Fisher will maintain his teaching position and his role as co-director of the institution's highly regarded Supreme Court Litigation Clinic in addition to his duties at the firm.

Practice chair Jonathan Hacker welcomed the new addition: “We are delighted to welcome Jeff to the O’Melveny family. His commanding advocacy skills are matched by his personal warmth and charm. I cannot imagine a better addition to our team.”
